What does the Vitamin D Test measure?

The standard test measures 25(OH)D (calcidiol), the main circulating form of vitamin D that reflects overall status. The Plus test also includes 1,25(OH)₂D (calcitriol), the active hormonal form involved in calcium regulation and immune function.

What's the difference between Vitamin D and Vitamin D Plus?

The Vitamin D test includes only 25(OH)D. The Vitamin D Plus test includes both 25(OH)D and 1,25(OH)₂D, offering a more complete picture of vitamin D metabolism.

How is the sample collected?

The test uses a simple dried blood spot (DBS) method. Just a few drops from your fingertip are required.
